Volunteers: Work hard and smart. Knox County is providing 6 men equipped with power tools
and sprayers. The biking community supplies up to 30 volunteers. West Bicycles in Farragut
will provide lunch. Sign-in and lunch under the shade trees across the parking lot from the east
loop trail entrance near the golf course. No previous experience or training is necessary to volunteer.
Objective: Brush cut, Clear and Spray trails making them ride ready till spring and develop
Concord Park into a year round Mountain Bike Park.

Friday Morning Road Bike Ride
Depart 9:00am - Return by Noon
Distance: 26 miles
Casual: Beginners (12-15 mph)
You will need a road bike to join a very casual group road bike ride. Meet new
riders and gain group riding experience. The route is rolling, scenic and safe. Fares will
be your navigator and go to guy. Everyone is welcomed and you will have a wonderful time
with new friends. Gather at the store afterwards and meet everybody you rode with. Pic's
available after the ride.

Guide to Winter Bike Clothes
Each person is different and there is no perfect solution to cool weather dressing, but
this list of recommendations for temperature ranges is a good place to start.
- 65-60 Arm warmers
- 60-55 Arm warmers, knee warmers
- 55-50 Arm warmers or long sleeve jersey, vest, long finger gloves (light weight),
ear muffs, knee or leg warmers
- 50-45 Long sleeve jersey with either a base layer top or a light jacket/vest,
long finger gloves (medium weight), ear muffs or skull cap, toe covers,
leg warmers or light weight running tights.
- 45-40 Base layer top with a long sleeve jersey and a light jacket, Gloves(heavy),
shoe covers, pants (medium weight), Ear muffs or skull cap/balaclava
- 40-32 Base layer top with a long sleeve jersey and a jacket, Gloves(heavy),
shoe covers, pants (medium weight), Ear muffs and/or balaclava
- 32-22 Still can ride starting with a base layer bottoms and pants with a wind resistant
front paneling, wool socks, neoprene shoe covers, Base layer top, with jersey
and coat. Heavy gloves, Balaclava and ear muffs.
- 22-0 Good day for the trainer and performing maintenance on equipment.
